A new Fringe Benefit agreement has been signed between Missouri State University and the federal government regarding Fringe benefit rates that may be used to support claims for indirect costs on grants and contracts. [See more..]

FY 2008 Funding Results: Preliminary numbers for FY 08 show that Missouri State's external funding reached an all-time high of $22.4 million, more than doubling its FY 03 total of $11 million in just five years.
As of April 1, 2008, a new Internal Approval Form (IAF; PDF) is now in effect for all submitted application forms for all external funding agencies. [continued...]
Required IRB Application; CITI Training:
Missouri State University requires all persons engaged in human subjects research to provide valid proof of current IRB education for themselves and all personnel listed in the application. Sponsored Research and Programs will NOT send the confirmation letter advising of the IRB approval until the CITI certificates have been received. See more information.
Grants Resource Center:
The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Grants Resouce Center provides grant search and funding opportunities to its member insitutions, though monthly deadlines.
System Enhancements and New Functionality:
On August 9, 2008 Grants.gov deployed system enhancements and new functionality. This deployment will improve the quality of service PI's will experience when they find and apply for grant opportunities. Look for detailed information on these enhancements that will affect your searching for funding opportunities as well as managing your application submissions.
RSS Feeds for New & Modified Opportunities:
A featured enhancement on Grants.gov is the RSS feed. Now users will be able to receive a listing of new and recently modified opportunities by agency name or by category through a RSS feed. See link at http://www.grants.gov/help/rss.jsp
Submission of Grant Proposals:
Grants.gov is the government agencies primary source for the submission of grant proposals. When a grant application package is submitted through Grants.gov, a confirmation screen will be received by the sender as well as four emails advising of the status of the sent submission. [continued....]
The office of Sponsored Research and Programs has implemented a "Top Ten Funding Opportunity" web page, that seeks to cover the general research interests of faculty. The web page lists the title, description of the program, the sponsor (agency) and the deadline. The link to the full program is also provided. Please take the time to see the listings of funding opportunities.
