The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs offers this newly enhanced Faculty Support Tools webpage for staff and faculty involved in sponsored research and projects at Missouri State University.


The electronic Research Administration (eRA@MissouriState) Grant Module System is a web-based system that seeks to provide PIs, department chairs, deans, and their designees with secure access to up-to-date project proposal, financial, and reporting information about active awards and pending proposals.

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs

 will assist in:

  • Searching for funding from 23,000 funding opportunities through SPIN
  • Contacting possible sponsor contacts.
  • Finding funding for your project, through dialogue and research-focused discussions.
  • Supporting your project writing and  proposal requirements.
  • Enrolling in a worldwide expertise database in 1300 Universities and other research institutions to find funding, collaborators and experts in your field.
  • Determining the best ways to create and develop a winning proposal for your research project.
  • Gaining worldwide access to the information you need.
  • Setting up a weekly database alert to find funding for you to review.
  • Managing your recently received funding or Grant through a Pre and Post-review process.
     

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) and the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) provide institutional approval for all external proposal submissions, accept grants, sign contracts on behalf of the University, and provide administrative support to the IRB, IACUC, IBC and other compliance committees. We also provide a wide range of services to support the development of extramural proposals for research and creative activity and to assist faculty in the management of projects.

Proposal Development Workshops and Seminars:
  • OSRP sponsors funding seminars, proposal development, and proposal writing workshops.

Proposal Team Support:
  • OSRP can be a resource to multi-disciplinary proposal writing teams.


Proposal Mailing:
  • OSRP will get your proposal where it needs to go, on time and at no cost to you. UPS picks up outgoing shipments in Carrington Hall daily.


Faculty Travel to Funding Sources:
  • In cases where a well developed project idea would be significantly enhanced by a face-to-face meeting with a program officer, OSRP will share the cost of travel with the department or college.


Project Management:
  • The Vice President for Research and Economic Development (ORED) can provide direct administrative support for large projects.
