As a follow-up to the Grants Resource Center (GRC) Workshop that was held recently, we are asking participants to complete a survey that will help Sponsored Research and Programs in determining how we can foster awareness and support activities on funding opportunities, developing proposals and other research-related matters. We thank you for your participation in the survey!

Workshop Highlights:

Richard and Linda also facilitated group discussions that offered opportunities for faculty and staff to develop project ideas that could be candidates for external funding.  Two Proposal Idea sessions were conducted each day that focused on currently funded Provost Futures’ projects.  Two other sessions were conducted each day for faculty and staff who had submitted proposals for Provost Futures funding in the past or were awaiting word on their 2007 submissions, as well as those who have ideas for projects that could be of interest to external sponsors.

Please find a summary of the workshop topics covered and the presenters.

Workshop Agenda:Grants Resource Center logo

The workshop agenda appears below.  As you will see, several sessions were repeated each day so that as many participants as possible could benefit from this workshop.  There were, however, topics that were only available one time, e.g., Foundation funding.     Faculty, staff and administrators who participated in this workshop were able to discuss with the presenters the outline of their research and in turn receive suggestions on the areas to focus on as well as funding opportunities from foundation and federal agencies.
